ViewPane is available on iOS today. It’s a free download: install it, point it at your Frigate server (or open Demo mode), and you have a real app in your hands before you decide anything about paying.
How to install
Download it free from the App Store. No account, no invite, no sign-up. This is 1.0: the real app, and the fixes you report will ship as regular App Store updates.
What free gets you
One Frigate server, the multi-camera grid with snapshot tiles, fullscreen live view with native H.265 decode and pinch-to-zoom, your 20 most recent events, LAN and Tailscale access, and Demo mode. No account, no card, no trial clock. If that covers your setup, use it forever.
Setup is the two-minute version: add your server’s Local URL, tap refresh to fill the grid, tap a tile for fullscreen. The docs walk through Frigate config, the go2rtc restream, and the Tailscale External URL if you want remote access without port-forwarding.
What Pro adds
ViewPane Pro is $9.99 a year and turns on the power features: push notifications through a relay you host next to Frigate, full event history with camera, label and time filters, clip playback with save and share, unlimited servers, and Live Wall for the whole grid. On iOS the subscription supports Family Sharing, so one purchase covers the household.
That’s the whole business model. Two coffees a year keeps the app current with Frigate releases and the bug fixes shipping.
Android
An Android build exists and has been through our own testing, but we don’t have a Play Store date to give you yet. Store-side organization verification is the holdup, not the app. When it’s ready, the launch list gets one email, and this blog gets one post.

A first release means you’ll find things we didn’t. The bug report form asks for exactly what we need to reproduce an issue — app version, iOS version, Frigate version, steps — and a real person reads every one.
